    PURPOSES AND ACTIVITIES

    The FDB focuses its raison d’être on four main activities related to the Bible: eBooks, Bible Stories, Bible Courses (with Bible Teaching Units), Biblical Values, and Lectio Divina. In addition to these four elements, there is also an interactive dimension through blogs, social networks, and newsletters. Another important aspect is the dissemination of humanists from the eBible.

    MISSION DESCRIPTION

    MISSION, VISION AND VALUES.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSOCIATION’S AREAS OF ACTIVITY:

    –> Promote the study and knowledge of the Bible in society at large through courses, forums, conferences, lessons, social media, virtual classrooms, working groups, and research commissions.
    –> Promote the Bible in institutions and organizations linked to education in general and to various educational bodies that promote culture and education.
    –> Develop informative materials that are relevant to today’s societies and teaching materials that are in line with the latest educational trends and diverse learning systems.
    –> Create original materials appropriate to the visual, digital, audiovisual, and musical realities surrounding the Bible that help to disseminate the text and its cultural and religious reality.
    –> Spreading the Bible through new digital and audiovisual information and communication technologies, making it particularly present on digital broadcasting platforms.
    –> Promote Bible studies that emphasize the ethical and civic values present in the biblical text, and disseminate these values in society.
    –> Spreading the Bible as a religious book that promotes dialogue, a culture of life, and the rejection of all violence, inequality, or discrimination against human beings between civilizations.
    –> Preparation of materials to spread the civic and ethical message of the Bible, especially the preparation of Lectio Divina, training courses, and other audiovisual or technological formats that spread the value of the Bible.
    –> Promote the text of the Bible as the origin of Judeo-Christian culture, from which Christian civilization, present throughout the world, was born.
    –> Development of technological systems and computer materials to disseminate the biblical text.
    –> Creation of enriched ebooks, with images, sound, music, and theological interpretation, of the books of the Bible.
    –> Development and delivery of training courses on the Bible and its context, and on Christian tradition.
    –> Organization and implementation of activities aimed at promoting knowledge of the Bible and Christian tradition in its origins and expansion, including trips to biblical sites or places of Christian tradition.
    –> Publications and exhibitions about the Bible or related in some way to the Bible and Christian tradition.
    –> Promotion, research, dissemination, and study of the work of Christian humanists, both Spanish and foreign, linked in some way to the biblical tradition and the Christian tradition.
    –> Other similar or analogous activities may be carried out provided that they are in some way linked to the Bible or to the traditions of Christianity and Judaism.
    The Foundation may carry out economic activities that are aimed at fulfilling its founding purposes, or that are complementary or ancillary to the above, subject to the rules governing competition. In addition, within the scope of the foundation’s purpose and aims, it may carry out activities such as: Cultural volunteering, which promotes and defends the right of access to culture and, in particular, the cultural integration of all people, the promotion and protection of cultural identity, the defense and safeguarding of cultural heritage, and participation in the cultural life of the community; Educational volunteering, which, as a planned solidarity action integrated into the educational system and community, improves the possibilities for extracurricular and complementary activities, contributing, in particular, to compensating for any inequalities that may exist between students due to social, personal, or economic differences, through the use of, among other things, service-learning programs.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE BENEFICIARY GROUP(S)

    –> People interested in reading the Bible, whether for religious reasons, artistic and cultural reasons, or other interests related to the Bible.
    –> People who are at some stage of formal education and who use the Bible for their studies or have a keen interest in Biblical culture.
    –> Adults in general who are interested in deepening their knowledge of the Bible and learning about the biblical environment and Christian tradition.
    –> People with spiritual and personal concerns who seek to grow with the support of the Bible.
    –> Any type of group linked in some way to biblical texts and tradition.
    –> People with artistic interests in the field of new digital and communication technologies.
    –> The beneficiaries will be determined by the Board of Trustees based on criteria of impartiality and non-discrimination.
    –> The basic rules for determining beneficiaries are as follows, in order of appearance:
    –> Interest in spreading the Bible.
    –> Interest in Bible study and research.
    –> Interest in reading the Bible.
    –> Interest in biblical education.
    –> Interest in learning about Christian tradition.
    –> Interest in new technologies applied to the Bible.
