From its inception, the eBible project has been embedded in the new digital culture, which prioritizes images and music as elements of communication.

The Power of the Bible

The text of the Bible is presented in narrative and iconic language. The books of the Bible are divided into pericopes according to content and theological substance, and the Bible is studied and read through the Holy Fathers (uniting Word and Tradition). This leads to a creative process of producing a visual image that is integrated with the Word, resulting in a form of communication that is valid for a culture dominated by images. The beauty of the image lies in the fact that all the elements of the visual composition lead the reader to the Word of God that speaks to them. In this way, emotion and rationality are reconciled.

There are different symbols in every Biblical illustration. Those symbols came from the Christiam tradition of Biblical analysis developed from Middles Ages until the present days. These symbols go in depth in the exploration of the meaning of God’s Word, and also they allow the reader to encounter God. There are pop-up windows where the interpretation of these symbols is placed.

The unabridged text is recited with music background and sound effects illustrating psychological, narrative and theological states present in the pericope (Biblical fragmend + its image). This music in composed in purpose for every single fragment and is chosen for the stimulation of the reading and listening to the Word.

For all these reasons, we can see that a fundamental part of this collective work of the eBible project is the illustrators and musicians who collaborate in the creation of this complex project.
  • ILLUSTRATORS

    The illustrator expresses the Collective Author’s ideas and dips his/her brush in his/her on creativity and personal style. These ideas come from the author’s directions based on his theological analysis of the Bible. The illustrators combine the own artistic creativity while they capture in the brush all of the theological and religious symbols.
    During these last seven years many creative people have supported this collective work of illustration of the Bible by contributing with their artistic creations. In this place we will be listing the names of the persons who are about to finish their artistic works destined to the downloadable eBooks of the eBible. These are the illustrators who have contributed for the already published eBooks:

    Whoever interested in this project is invited to participate by contributing with his/her creative work of illustration. We desire to complete the illustration of the whole Bible and other digital creations. This is a work in process where you can contribute with your illustrations. Economic donations for the illustration of new eBooks and other digital proposals of the eBible are very welcomed.If you are an illustrator / painter / plastic artist and you want to collaborate with us, please write us.

  • COMPOSERS

    The composers create the background music made in purpose for every pericope (Biblical fragment) accompanied by its equivalent illustration. Most of the music background of the eBible project is made in purpose based on the theological and psychological context of every narrative scene that take place in every Biblical fragment or pericope. There are also musical creations composed by contributors who enliven general moods present in the Bible. Finally, there are some public domain compositions that reflect many moods of our illustrations.
    During the last four years we have received many musical contributions created in purpose for this project.In this place we will be listing the names of the persons who are about to finish their musical compositions destined to the downloadable eBooks of the eBible full of illustrations accompanied with music.
