The Digital Bible Foundation<\/strong> is a non-profit organization registered in the Galician Register of Foundations of Public Interest. Its purpose is to study, disseminate, and research the Bible in order to create materials using its own teaching resources adapted to the visual, digital, and audiovisual world, thereby helping to research and disseminate the biblical text through new digital and audiovisual technologies that make it available on digital platforms.<\/p>\n

One of the main founding activities related to the dissemination of the digital Bible is the creation of eBooks enriched with images that illustrate the entire biblical text and other different technological and audiovisual products based on these images.<\/p>\n

The illustration of Bible passages, through study and research, is one of the main objectives of the Digital Bible Foundation, as it occupies a central part of the Foundation’s study, dissemination, and research. This task consists of producing illustrations for each book of the Bible under the theological guidelines of the eBible Project director, using artistic criteria, which form part of the eBible Collective Work on the Illustration of the Bible.<\/p>\n

The Board of Trustees of the Fundaci\u00f3n Digital Bible decided unanimously on May 25, 2016 to launch the “eBible Prizes” for the theological and artistic illustration of the Bible. These eBible Prizes will carry out in 2017. The creation of these Prizes is possible thanks to 6000 \u20ac donation of Mr. Neira P\u00e9rez, the Director of this project. This budget of 6000 \u20ac will be used for the creation of a Prize of Excellence that will be assigned for artists that will paint illustrations for the project of the Collective Work of the eBible.<\/p>\n
